Ella

Sinharaja

Horton Plains

Known for its charming landscape of undulating hills, woodlands and grasslands this natural international reserve is well-loved. It is roughly 10000 hectares in size. There are 24 different species of mammals found there including elk porcupines leopards wild boar hares and giant squirrels.

Adam’s Peak

One of the most popular spots for ecotourism is this hillside area. The primary purpose of Adam’s Peak Wildlife Sanctuary is to fulfil this role. In Sri Lanka there is a strong religious and cultural bond with this outstanding peak. Every religion bases its meaning on the large footprint at the summit of this mountain.
